This is one of those moments where I wanted to get a picture, but then I also felt like an asshole watching the whole thing through the screen of my phone. So I put down my phone after three shitty pictures and chose instead, my actual human eyes.

I bitch a lot about the long walk and the long commute, but there are advantages to working at a building right next to the Hudson River. For the first time ever, we all rushed across the terrace without fear of Martha Stewart or the snipers that monitor her half of the terrace, picking off anyone brave enough to even think about taking a nap in one of her hammocks.

They even wheeled her out, removing the protective hood they keep over her face, protecting her from having to make eye contact with lesser beings, and yes, even she was amazed.

When I got back to my desk on the third floor, there were free bagels.
